These Bakery-Style Chocolate Chunk Cookies are so yummy and easy to create. I call it bakery style because this is a copycat version of the cookies that my friend makes. He happens to be an excellent baker.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chunks
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar. Mix until completely smooth. Add eggs and stir in vanilla.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve the baking soda in warm to hot water. Add baking soda mixture to the cream batter.
  4. Stir in flour and fold chocolate chunks. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 13 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.
