This " Three-Step Egg Custard Pie " brings back good memories of my childhood. This pie taste really good that it's easy to assume that the ingredients are hard to find. No, not at all. The ingredients are basic or can easily be bought at the grocery stores.
Ingredients
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 crust pie (good to cover 9 inch baking pie pan)
Instructions
  1. Lay out pie shell on a baking pan. Bake shell at 400 F degrees for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Combine butter, sugar, flour, milk, vanilla, and nutmeg. Add eggs in flour mixture. Mix well.
  3. Pour egg mixture into partially baked pie shell. Bake at 325 F degrees for 50 minutes or until inserted knife comes out as clean. Let the baked pie cool first before serving.
